Varsity Winter Guard wins Silver Medal at Championships

On April 1st, 2017, the Cypress Falls Varsity Winter Guard competed at the Texas Color Guard Circuit State Championships hosted at Reed Arena of Texas A&M University. After a strong performance of their show, “Pretty Hurts,” early in the afternoon, the guard relaxed on campus awaiting for awards and retreat. After a very long day and setting up for full retreat, the Varsity Winter Guard was named the silver medalists of their round and proudly represented Cypress Falls. The band organization is extremely proud of all of the performers, directors, and designers on their outstanding efforts and season.

The guard finished with a total score of 82.110 and was .35 points away from 1st place. Full results can be found by following this link:

Congratulations also to the Novice guard who last week finished 4th place in their class, and the Junior Varsity Guard who finished 5th in theirs.

Thank you to all of the parents, volunteers, and bus drivers that assisted the performers on their journey. Congratulations to all of those involved!
